The 2022 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund supports alumni of U.S. government-funded exchange programs to design and implement innovative public service projects in North Macedonia. Funded projects address themes such as business transparency, climate awareness, digital and media literacy, AI and cybersecurity, energy security, and inclusion of underrepresented groups. Projects must be completed within 12 months and involve teams of at least two alumni. Awards range from $10,000 to $40,000.
Eligible applicants are alumni of U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange programs, excluding U.S. citizen alumni as primary applicants. Teams must include at least two alumni. Nonprofit organizations cannot apply but may partner. Projects must take place outside the U.S.
