Proposals must present a five-year plan in two phases, with initial funding for two years and potential continuation based on progress. The goal is to foster paradigm-shifting approaches and new scientific communities with broad impact.
Eligible applicants include US-based institutions of higher education and non-profit, non-academic organizations directly associated with research or education. Principal Investigators must hold full-time research or teaching positions at eligible US campuses or offices.
