The Mid-Career Advancement program funds mid-career scientists and engineers to enhance their research and career trajectories by providing protected time, resources, and opportunities for synergistic partnerships, often at institutions other than their own. It encourages interdisciplinary collaborations and projects that bring new insights or address new problems using cutting-edge methods or expertise from other fields. Applicants are urged to consult with Program Officers to identify the appropriate disciplinary program for proposal review.
