This funding opportunity supports enhancing and sustaining antibiotic resistance surveillance in retail food specimens within the NARMS program. It aims to improve detection of antibiotic resistance among bacteria in food commodities and expand sampling sites to broaden surveillance scope. Funded activities must align with NARMS Objectives to protect and promote public health by combating antibiotic resistance threats.
Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, local and state governments, tribal governments, federal agencies, and other specified organizations. Foreign and non-domestic entities are not eligible.
