This award provides funding to early-stage postdoctoral researchers with doctoral degrees to facilitate their transition to independent tenure-track faculty positions. It supports investigators proposing to lead independent clinical trials, feasibility studies, or ancillary clinical trials in cancer control, prevention, and data sciences. The program aims to build a strong cohort of independent cancer researchers by providing research support during this critical career development phase.
Eligible applicants include U.S. public and private higher education institutions, nonprofits, small businesses, tribal organizations, government entities, and certain minority-serving institutions. Foreign institutions and non-domestic components of U.S. organizations are not eligible to apply.
