This funding opportunity supports innovative, multi-disciplinary research addressing health and healthcare disparities related to non-communicable and chronic diseases with high burden in Latin America and among U.S. Hispanics/Latinos. Funded activities include clinical epidemiology studies, evaluation of health policies, and validation of measurement tools. Research teams must include at least one principal investigator from a Latin American institution. Clinical trials are not allowed under this award.
Eligible applicants include state and local governments, public and private higher education institutions, nonprofits, tribal governments and organizations, small businesses, and for-profit organizations. At least one PI must be from a Latin American institution.
