This grant supports basic science experimental studies involving human participants that prospectively assign conditions and assess biomedical or behavioral outcomes to understand fundamental phenomena. Projects must align with the scientific missions of NIH Institutes and Centers. It excludes studies aimed at specific applications or products, which should apply under other clinical trial notices. Eligible applicants include a broad range of nonprofit, government, academic, tribal, and for-profit entities.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, state and local governments, small businesses, for-profit organizations, public and private institutions of higher education, tribal governments and organizations, and other specified entities within the United States.
