Supports projects that develop and sustain research infrastructure cores across eligible jurisdictions to improve research ecosystems. Funded activities include enhancing research administration, facilities, STEM education pathways, workforce development, partnerships, community engagement, technology transfer, and economic development. Projects must foster jurisdiction-wide collaborations and ensure sustainability beyond the award period.
Eligible applicants include accredited U.S. higher education institutions, non-profit research organizations with 501(c)(3) status, jurisdictional/state governments or agencies, and federally recognized or Indigenous tribal governments.
