The NSF STEM K-12 program supports fundamental, applied, and translational research that advances STEM teaching and learning and enhances understanding of education across the human lifespan in both formal and informal settings. It funds projects from diverse eligible organizations including for-profits, non-profits, educational institutions, governments, and Tribal Nations focused on improving STEM education.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based for-profit organizations with research capabilities, non-profit non-academic organizations, state and local governments, accredited U.S. institutions of higher education, and federally recognized Tribal Nations.
