This opportunity funds research proposals that advance fundamental, process, and systems-level understanding of the Arctic's rapidly changing natural environment and social and cultural systems. Research should focus on the Arctic region and its connectivity with lower latitudes, aligned with the IARPC five-year plan. The program supports use of Arctic logistical infrastructure and coordinates with federal and international partners for co-funding.
Eligible applicants include U.S. institutions of higher education, U.S.-based for-profit organizations, non-profit non-academic organizations, tribal nations, federal agencies, and cooperative projects with foreign organizations limited to U.S. portions.
