The CAREER program supports early-career faculty who demonstrate potential as academic role models integrating research and education. It funds innovative research and educational activities that build a foundation for leadership in their fields. The program encourages applications from women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities at eligible U.S. institutions and select non-profit organizations. Awardees may be nominated for the prestigious PECASE award.
Eligible applicants include early-career faculty at CAREER-eligible U.S. institutions of higher education and certain non-profit, non-academic organizations directly associated with educational or research activities.
