Supports hypothesis-driven or problem-driven STEM research projects that develop sustainable research incubators aligned with jurisdictional priorities. Projects should build research capacity, develop skilled workforce, foster collaboration across sectors, integrate societal impacts, and include sustainability plans to enhance competitiveness in EPSCoR jurisdictions.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based institutions of higher education, non-profit research organizations, and tribal governments within EPSCoR jurisdictions. Proposals must be submitted by eligible organizations and cannot be from current E-RISE lead organizations.
