Supports implementation, scaling, or major improvements of research infrastructure advancing biology in Cyberinfrastructure, Biological Collections, and Biological Field Stations and Marine Laboratories. Accepts proposals for planning activities or workshops to coordinate infrastructure capacity building. Excludes instrumentation and project-specific infrastructure. Projects must produce quality, openly accessible resources serving a broad research community.
Eligible applicants include U.S.-based non-profit, non-academic organizations associated with education or research, and accredited U.S. institutions of higher education acting for their faculty. Proposals involving international branch campuses require justification.
