The MMS Program supports interdisciplinary research developing innovative analytical and statistical methods for social, behavioral, and economic sciences. Funding includes regular research awards, conferences, doctoral dissertation improvements, and undergraduate research supplements. Emphasis is on methodological innovation, theoretical grounding, and broad applicability. Doctoral dissertation awards require specific PI/co-PI roles. CAREER awards are also supported separately.
Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Awards require a PI who is the doctoral student's advisor or faculty at the student's U.S. institution and a co-PI who is the doctoral student. Other awards have no PI restrictions.
