This program funds P50 SPORE grants supporting state-of-the-art investigator-initiated translational research on organ-specific or related human cancers. Research must use human biology approaches and reach translational human endpoints within the grant period. Clinical trials are required. Applications may be jointly funded with NIDCR based on research focus.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and special district governments; public and private higher education institutions; Native American tribal governments and organizations; nonprofits; for-profit organizations including small businesses.
