This initiative funds a consortium of Clinical Research Centers and a Scientific Data Research Center to advance understanding of gastrointestinal interoception disorders. It emphasizes multidisciplinary approaches to uncover mechanisms linking GI function to symptoms, identify biomarkers for treatment efficacy, and develop novel therapeutic targets. The consortium will coordinate participant enrollment, biospecimen collection, and data management to facilitate future clinical trials.
