This opportunity funds up to seven genomic research centers to advance the understanding of inflammatory bowel disease genetics. Centers will enroll participants, analyze biospecimens, and conduct bioinformatics to characterize genetic, clinical, and environmental interactions in IBD. The goal is to develop new predictors of disease outcomes and improve precision medicine approaches for this chronic, heterogeneous disease.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of government entities, educational institutions, tribal governments and organizations, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, faith-based and community organizations, regional organizations, U.S. territories, and foreign institutions.
