The LAUNCH program funds consortia of U.S. and low- and middle-income country institutions to provide one-year mentored research training programs for pre- and post-doctoral trainees. These programs focus on biomedical or behavioral science aligned with NIH priorities and offer mentorship, technical and professional skills training, research partnerships, career guidance, and networking to prepare trainees for independent global health research careers.
Eligible applicants include public and private institutions of higher education and other eligible applicants with foreign components allowed. Consortia must include U.S. and low- and middle-income country institutions.
