The NEI New Innovator Award supports postdoctoral and newly independent early stage investigators proposing novel, original research studies with potential for major impact in vision and biomedical research. Applications should align with NEI's mission and encourage interdisciplinary convergence and novel methodologies. Clinical trials (DP2) are not allowed.
Eligible applicants include postdoctoral and early stage investigators at public, private, tribal, federal, and other institutions including non-U.S. entities. Positions must be non-independent equivalent or newly independent early stage investigators.
