The NSF National I-Corps Teams program supports NSF-funded researchers by providing entrepreneurial education, mentoring, and funding to accelerate the commercialization of deep technologies derived from foundational science and engineering research. The program emphasizes experiential learning in customer discovery and industrial processes to assess business models, product-market fit, and technology demonstrations, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
Proposals may only be submitted by US-based accredited two- and four-year institutions of higher education on behalf of their faculty. International branch campuses may participate with justification. Multiple awards on the same core technology are generally not supported.
