This opportunity funds projects to develop and validate advanced 3-D tissue models that mimic tissue properties for drug screening, enhancing predictive accuracy for therapeutic efficacy. Applicants must use NCATS 3-D Bioprinting laboratory infrastructure to create models suitable for high throughput assays. Clinical trials are not permitted under this initiative, which builds on prior efforts to improve non-animal drug screening platforms.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of U.S. government entities, educational institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, tribal governments, and other specified organizations. Foreign entities and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible.
