This funding opportunity invites a single eligible domestic organization to continue the Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications (EDIC) cohort study. It supports hypothesis-based research addressing knowledge gaps in type 1 diabetes complications, cohort infrastructure and maintenance, continued follow-up, and collaborative research utilizing the EDIC cohort, data, and biological/genetic samples. Collaborative U01 clinical trials are not allowed.
Eligible applicants are domestic organizations only; foreign organizations and foreign components of U.S. organizations are not eligible. Foreign subawards or subcontracts are not allowed, but unfunded international collaborations and foreign consultants are permitted.
