Supports establishment of interdisciplinary Alcohol Research Centers to conduct collaborative research on alcohol misuse, Alcohol Use Disorder, and related health issues. Centers focus on innovative, understudied topics, mentorship of young investigators, and development of new research methods to advance understanding and treatment of alcohol-related disorders.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and special district governments; educational institutions; Native American tribal governments and organizations; nonprofits; for-profit organizations; small businesses; and other specified entities.
