This funding supports a phased mechanistic clinical research program to identify and validate multi-tissue biological mechanisms underlying joint pain and to test non-pharmacologic or multimodal interventions targeting these mechanisms. Projects require clinical trials and may last up to five years, advancing safe, non-addictive approaches to chronic pain management.
