This limited competition funds small research grants for NCATS CTSA Program KL2 scholars completing their transition to independent translational scientists. Supported projects include pilot and feasibility studies, secondary data analysis, methodology development, and new technology development. Research may or may not involve patient-oriented studies. The grants aim to provide preliminary data for subsequent larger research applications.
Eligible applicants are NCATS CTSA Program KL2/K12 scholars who completed their training within the last two years. Eligible organizations include state, county, city governments, tribal governments, nonprofits, higher education institutions, small businesses, and others as specified.
