This funding supports NCI-Designated Cancer Centers including comprehensive, clinical, and basic centers. Grants enable integration of cancer research across institutional boundaries, development of shared resources, collaboration with NCI programs, and dissemination of research findings to improve prevention, diagnosis, and therapy.
Eligible applicants include a wide range of government entities, educational institutions, tribal organizations, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and others as specified. Both public and private institutions of higher education may apply.
