This opportunity funds interdisciplinary teams to develop novel AI models and frameworks that accelerate scientific discovery and R&D workflows addressing critical energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges. Funded projects span advanced manufacturing, biotechnology, critical materials, nuclear fission and fusion, quantum information science, semiconductors, discovery science, and energy. Successful AI innovations may be integrated into the American Science Cloud, advancing DOE's mission and national security.
