The NAWCA U.S. Small Grants Program supports partnerships to protect, improve, restore, and manage wetland ecosystems and habitats for migratory birds and other wildlife across the U.S. It funds projects that maintain wetland-associated bird populations and waterfowl abundance consistent with major conservation plans. A 1:1 non-federal match is required, and research projects are excluded. Eligible applicants include various government entities, nonprofits, educational institutions, tribal organizations, and small businesses.
Eligible applicants include city, county, state, and special district governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; private institutions of higher education; nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status; small businesses; and independent school districts.
