This grant supports State agencies in developing and implementing conservation programs for endangered, threatened, candidate, recently delisted, and proposed marine and anadromous species under the ESA. Funded activities include management efforts, scientific research, and public education focused on priority actions in ESA Recovery Plans. Projects on Pacific salmonids and marine mammal stranding or rehabilitation are excluded. Applicants must have or enter into agreements with NMFS under ESA section 6(c).
Eligible applicants are State government agencies that have or will enter into an agreement with NMFS under section 6(c) of the ESA within 30 days of the application deadline.
