This grant funds projects conducted in Alaska that focus on workforce development in marine science, aquaculture, and maritime operations; training in seafood safety and fishery management; technological innovation in fishing; consumer education on seafood sustainability; regionally-specific fishery resource management; and strengthening the seafood supply chain through partnerships among industry, researchers, and communities to enhance sustainability and competitiveness.
Eligible applicants include nonprofits, individuals, for-profit organizations (excluding small businesses), various government entities, tribal organizations, and institutions of higher education. Federal agencies and employees are not eligible.
