The Innovation Fund invests up to $325 million in research infrastructure projects exceeding $1 million across natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, health, social sciences, humanities, and arts. It supports equitable, inclusive environments to enhance Canada's global research competitiveness and sustainability, including operating and maintenance costs through a dedicated fund.
Eligible projects involve acquiring or developing research infrastructure with total costs over $1 million. Institutions must be eligible, have signed agreements, and have an account on the CFI Awards Management System.
