This funding opportunity supports creating the AI3 Action Institute to monitor AI advancements and responsibly apply AI technology to socioeconomic areas in Native communities. The Institute will focus on accelerating economic development, workforce participation, community governance, and efficient service delivery, aligned with Tribal priorities. It aims to reduce learning curves, optimize AI deployment, manage knowledge, and strengthen Tribal governance and community capacity.
Eligible applicants include federally recognized Native American tribal governments, tribal organizations, nonprofits serving Native communities, Alaska Native entities, Urban Indian Organizations, Tribal Colleges, and agencies serving Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders.
