This funding opportunity supports research to understand health problems and develop, adapt, and test interventions for health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, or recovery in Native American populations. It also funds studies on dissemination and implementation strategies to overcome barriers to adopting and sustaining effective interventions. Projects should build on community strengths and resilience and aim for sustainable, adaptable solutions.
Eligible applicants include Native American tribal governments (federally recognized and others), state and local governments, public and private higher education institutions, nonprofits, for-profit organizations, small businesses, and various other public and community organizations.
