This funding opportunity provides payments to eligible state and local governments that incurred costs due to incarceration of undocumented criminal aliens during the July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 reporting period. It supports law enforcement and public safety efforts by reimbursing costs under the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP).
Eligible applicants include county, state, and city or township governments within the United States. Only governmental units that incurred eligible incarceration costs may apply.
