This funding supports health departments in tracking, preventing, and controlling three common STIs: syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. Programs should prioritize populations disproportionately affected by STIs and collaborate with partners to address interconnected health issues. Funding is available to state, district, territorial, city, and county health departments, with some cities competitively funded based on population, STI morbidity, and organizational capacity.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, township, and special district governments across all 50 states, DC, US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Some cities may be funded competitively based on population, STI morbidity, and organizational capacity.
