The John R. Evans Leaders Fund provides up to $800,000 to Canadian universities for acquiring research infrastructure and supporting up to three innovative researchers. It supports infrastructure acquisition, researcher retention, and collaborative or independent use of infrastructure in sciences, social sciences, humanities, and arts. Proposals are submitted via the CFI Awards Management System.
Eligible applicants are Canadian universities recognized by the CFI. Research hospitals and institutes must apply through affiliated universities. Up to three researchers per proposal must be innovative leaders or promising candidates in full-time academic roles.
