This award funds applied research aimed at improving treatment and restoring function for individuals with orthopaedic injuries sustained during combat or service-related activities. It supports projects that refine concepts into feasible solutions including new knowledge products, pharmacologic agents, behavioral and rehabilitation interventions, diagnostics, therapeutic techniques, and emerging technologies. Clinical research is excluded, and preliminary data is required. Research must benefit Service Members, Veterans, their families, or the public.
