This funding supports the expansion of composting infrastructure in four Tribal communities and one city in Southeast Alaska. The project focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from landfills, decreasing energy and fuel use in waste management, and enhancing the beneficial use of organic waste, empowering Tribal communities to address climate change locally.
