This funding supports projects that provide outdoor recreation opportunities and promote compatible land uses near military installations or airspace, or enhance disaster resilience. Projects must include land acquisition, be located in designated partnership areas, and have military support. Funding covers up to 50% of project costs, with potential for full federal funding through combined programs. Projects must be maintained for public outdoor recreation in perpetuity and align with LWCF and national priorities.
Eligible applicants include state governments and others as specified in additional eligibility information. Projects must have a Letter of Support from a Military Installation or Range commander and be located in designated partnership areas.
