This award supports studies that develop mature ideas and expand key discoveries in bone marrow failure research and patient care. It funds translational and clinical research including preclinical models, human data, and correlative studies linked to clinical trials, but excludes clinical trials themselves. The mechanism supports IND-enabling efforts such as compound characterization and toxicology. It allows partnering Principal Investigators with distinct application components and requires preliminary data relevant to the project.
Open to any type of entity without restrictions, subject to additional clarifications in eligibility text. Both initiating and partnering PIs must submit applications if applicable.
