This funding supports integrated Core Centers that enhance biomedical and translational research in cystic fibrosis, diabetes, nutrition, obesity, liver, and digestive diseases. Centers provide pilot grant programs, scientific catalyst activities, and shared core services to foster collaboration, mentoring, and research efficiency within institutions having an established research base in these areas.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and special district governments; public and private institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments and organizations; nonprofits; for-profit organizations; small businesses; and various other specified entities.
