This funding opportunity supports projects that establish and maintain a network of Clean Plant Centers across the U.S. These centers provide diagnostic and pathogen elimination services to produce clean propagative plant material free of targeted pathogens. Funded projects should align with the NCPN Strategic Plan priorities, including optimizing production and distribution, advancing novel technologies, and optimizing network resources to protect the environment and support specialty crop producers.
Eligible applicants include state governments, public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, land grant universities, non-land grant colleges of agriculture, state departments of agriculture, state and federal agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
