This funding opportunity supports projects that establish and maintain a network of Clean Plant Centers across the U.S. These centers provide diagnostic and pathogen elimination services to produce clean propagative plant material free of targeted pathogens. Funded projects align with the NCPN Strategic Plan goals, including optimizing production and distribution of clean plants, advancing novel technologies, and optimizing network resources to protect the environment and support U.S. specialty crop producers.
Eligible applicants include state governments, public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, land grant universities, state departments of agriculture, federal agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
