Producer Grants support farmers and ranchers in developing sustainable agriculture systems by funding field trials, on-farm demonstrations, marketing initiatives, or other techniques. Projects must align with Southern SARE's sustainability objectives and focus on production or marketing practices. Grants reimburse allowable expenses up to $20,000 for individuals and $25,000 for organizations, with a project duration of 2 years.
Applicants must be individual farmers/ranchers or farmer/rancher organizations in the Southern SARE region with farming as a primary or part-time occupation generating at least $1,000 annual income. Projects must address sustainable agriculture and include at least one cooperator.
