This grant funds partnerships focused on building the native seed supply chain essential for restoring resilient public lands. Funded activities include local seed collection, nursery production of hard-to-grow species, applied science to improve restoration outcomes, technology development for seed processing, and managing native plant communities. The program aims to support rural economies, wildlife habitat restoration, and multiple use land management.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and special district governments; Native American tribal governments and organizations; public and private institutions of higher education; and nonprofits. Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible.
