The FY 2027 DURIP provides funding to accredited U.S. institutions of higher education and University Affiliated Research Centers to acquire research equipment or instrumentation. This supports research and education in science, mathematics, and engineering areas important to national defense, improving capabilities to conduct defense-related research.
Eligible applicants are accredited U.S. institutions of higher education with degree programs in science, mathematics, or engineering, excluding for-profit educational institutions. University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs) may also apply.
