This program funds projects that advance invasive species prevention by leveraging existing scientific knowledge on risks and pathways. Funded activities include developing improvements in regulatory frameworks, policies, and actions to reduce new invasive pest arrivals and establishment, bridging research and practical prevention measures to safeguard American agriculture.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and tribal governments, public and private higher education institutions, nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, for-profit organizations (excluding small businesses), and certain international organizations legally registered outside sanctioned countries.
