This grant supports qualified public agencies, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations in repairing and rehabilitating homes for very low- and low-income homeowners in rural areas. It also assists rental property owners and cooperative housing complexes that provide housing to low-income persons. Disaster assistance funding is available for 2022 presidentially declared disaster areas. Applicants must comply with agency regulations and submit preapplications by the deadline.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and tribal governments, nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status, and faith-based and community organizations. Eligibility extends to federally recognized tribal governments and other tribal organizations.
