This opportunity funds capacity building at institutions of higher education in eligible DEPSCoR States and Territories to increase their ability to perform science and engineering research aligned with Department of Defense priorities. Grants of up to $1.5 million over two years support development of competitive research programs to increase long-term federal funding success. Eligible applicants include universities aiming to enhance research capabilities responsive to DoD mission needs.
Eligible applicants are institutions of higher education located in specified DEPSCoR States and Territories. Partnerships are allowed. The focus is on institutions aiming to improve basic research excellence relevant to DoD missions.
