This opportunity funds monitoring of Cook Inlet Beluga Whale prey and salmon productivity at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The base project period is 18 months with up to six additional 18-month follow-on periods possible. Funding is restricted to Cooperative Ecosystem Study Units in Alaska, Rocky Mountain, and Pacific Northwest regions, prioritizing agencies responsible for fish and wildlife conservation under the Sikes Act. Indirect costs are capped at 17.5%.
Eligible applicants are Cooperative Ecosystem Study Units under the Alaska, Rocky Mountain, and Pacific Northwest Units. Priority is given to Federal and State agencies responsible for fish or wildlife conservation or management under Sikes Act authority.
