This funding opportunity supports state, local, Tribal, and territorial prosecuting agencies to assign or hire qualified prosecutors as Special Attorneys or Special Assistant United States Attorneys. These prosecutors will investigate and prosecute fraud, crimes committed by criminal aliens, drug trafficking, and human trafficking within the United States, working in coordination with federal authorities to enhance enforcement capacity and intergovernmental coordination.
Eligible applicants include state, county, city or township governments, federally recognized Native American tribal governments, and other units of local government such as towns, boroughs, parishes, and villages.
